Server Rules

Chain Rules:

1. If a player with a chain F8 quits or logs out after being killed, they have 5 minutes to log back in. An admin will teleport them, and they must surrender one of their chains to the player who intended to steal it. Failure to log back in will result in a 1-week ban for Fail RP.
2. Selling or trading chains must involve communication and agreement. Scamming for chains is allowed, even in Green Zones besides Icebox
3. When buying a chain from Icebox, the plaza is a Green Zone. Pressing anyone leaving the plaza or killing them will result in a 1-week ban for RDM and Fail RP.
4. Stealing chains from turfs is considered Fail RP, as turfs are active war zones, not RP areas. Violators will receive a 3-day ban or a 12-hour ban if the chain is returned.
5. If you go AFK and die of hunger, resulting in a chain theft, it is your responsibility. Do not F8 quit or go AFK.
6. Taking someone outside a Green Zone to RDM them and steal their chain will result in a 2-week ban for Fail RP and RDM. or a 1-day ban if the chain is returned
7. Scamming Inside Icebox is a **PERM** ban If you were previously banned for this offense. First-time Offenders will have a 1-2 week ban.

Gang Rules:

1. Killing on Sight (KOS) is not allowed.
2. Three gang members are required to tax a drug location.
3. If you die at a drug location and are brought to the hospital, you cannot return to that location for 20 minutes.
4. Gang fights must be gang vs. gang. Other gang members and civilians cannot shoot with you.
5. All gang members must wear clothing that mirrors the colors of their gang.
6. Gangs may shoot if you do not leave their property (HQ) after being asked to.
7. Allies are allowed but you must I'm allied with x gang
8. You can only be allied with one gang.
9. If you punch two members of the same gang once each (3 times total), they have the right to kill you.

Police:

1. Consecutive robberies are not allowed. Wait 10 minutes after completing one.
2. Do not steal ongoing robberies unless the robbers are outnumbered and PD has yet to arrive (jewelry cannot be stolen).
3. Only one outside shooter for Jewelry & Flecca Banks, You can have 2 outside shooters for Principal Bank
4. Groups performing robberies cannot exceed the number of cops on duty by 2.
5. Hostages: Use the /th command for hostage situations, and do not kill or tell a compliant hostage to withdraw money.
6. Do not interfere with active PD scenes you are not involved in.
7. Only respawn in active RP scenes once an officer has searched you and left the area.
8. Cop-baiting (performing illegal actions for attention) is not tolerated.
9. Taking an officer hostage is allowed only if there are more than 5 police officers.
10. PD Can shoot at you if you are carrying a firearm in the public
11. PD Can disable your tires if they see reason to.
12. PD Cannot have another discord in there bio or status via discord

EMS:

1. Killing EMS is not allowed, and stealing EMS vehicles is prohibited.
2. Kidnapping EMS personnel is not allowed, and robbing them is not permitted.
3. EMS Cannot have another discord in there bio or status via discord

General Rules:

1. We adhere to the same Terms of Service (TOS) as Twitch, FiveM, and Discord. Violations, including hateful conduct, hate speech, racism, homophobia, and similar behavior, will result in a community ban.

2. Killing another player requires at least 30 seconds of roleplay and a valid reason or threat.
3. Stay in character at all times. Use the /report command to report any issues.
4. No Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM).
5. No Random Deathmatch (RDM).
6. No FailRP - Follow realistic roleplaying guidelines.
7. No Metagaming - Do not use out-of-character information to influence in-game actions.
8. No Powergaming - Do not exploit in-game features to gain an unfair advantage. For example, using the /th command to force someone into a robbery requires proper roleplay, such as pointing guns and engaging in dialogue.
9. No FearRP - Respect the value of your character's life and act accordingly.
10. No RevengeRP - Do not seek revenge against a player who previously killed you.
11. Do not abuse the /pb or /th commands. Spamming them to escape RP scenes or fit extra people in your vehicle is not allowed.
12. Combat Logging - Quitting the game to avoid consequences like death, item loss, or jail time is prohibited.
13. Killing in Green Zones is not allowed.
14. Do not use the /me command when dead.
15. Show respect to E-Girls within reasonable limits. If they disrespect you first, respond accordingly.
16. Roleplay for at least one minute before engaging in killing actions. No instant initiation.
17. Impersonating LSPD, EMS, or LSFD is prohibited. Wearing their clothing or driving their vehicles without proper roles will result in a ban.
18. No props, water, bushes, or similar items that disrupt gameplay are not allowed.
19. Breaking Character Randomly during a scene will result in a kick
20. No Cross-Trading (No Selling In-Game Items or Job Roles for Real Life Currency)
21. If a person is being robbed and has a weapon drawn, they can defend themselves only if two people are robbing them. If three or more people are involved in the robbery, the victim must comply and show fear for their life, regardless of whether they have a weapon out.

Principles of Roleplay:

1. RDM (Random Deathmatch) - Killing another player without prior roleplay or verbal threats is not allowed.
2. VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch) - Using a vehicle to run someone over without a valid reason is prohibited. Self-defense is allowed.
3. NLR (New Life Rule) - When you respawn after death or head injury, forget the events of the past 15 minutes. Do not return to the location of your death or seek revenge.
4. Powergaming - Do not perform unrealistic acts to alter the roleplay scene or force specific outcomes on other players. Make the roleplay enjoyable for everyone.
5. Fear RP - If outnumbered or held at gunpoint, fear for your character's life and comply with the situation.
6. Fail RP - Follow roleplaying rules and avoid unrealistic actions, such as breaking character, repairing your car during a pursuit, or shooting at vehicles without reason.
7. Revenge RP - Do not pursue and kill a player who killed you in a previous life.
8. Exploiting - Abusing game mechanics or commands for unfair advantages, such as phasing through walls or canceling weapon animations, is not allowed.
9. Combat Logging - Leaving the server to avoid roleplay scenes or jail time is prohibited.
10. Failure To Initiation - Shooting at someone without 45 seconds of RP or saying "100k or die" or some terms to initiation improperly.

Life & Respawn Rules:

1. Value your life and act accordingly when outnumbered. Failure to do so may result in the wiping of your entire inventory.
2. The New Life Rule (NLR) applies when you respawn or sustain a head injury. Forget the events leading up to your death, avoid returning to the death location for 10-15 minutes, and do not seek revenge.

Clothing:

1. Wearing helmets is not allowed as it provides an unfair advantage.
2. Gang clothing is only allowed for affiliated gang members.
3. Wearing police or EMS clothing, including vests, hats, and utility belts, is prohibited unless you hold a legitimate role.
4. You cannot snatch chains if it's not your GANGS kill.
5. You cannot snatch Chains inside Turfs.
6. In regular shootouts you must wear something to match ur gang. (Such as a Chain,Flag,Bandana.) - Turfs is different join http://discord.gg/mercuryrp to see those rules
7. If you own a ped you cannot use peds inside a turf at all. It will result in a instant DQ and a 12 hour ban

Emotes:

1. Do not abuse emotes to make your character invisible to other players (phasing through walls).
2. Sexual acts with emotes are not allowed.
3. Do not use /pb or /th commands without prior roleplay.

Shooting:

1. Death running (running in circles before a shootout), blind firing, and canceling the gun pull animation are not allowed.
2. If you punch someone two or more times, they have the right to shoot you.

Robberies:

1. Killing or robbing inside someone's personal house is prohibited.
2. Powergaming by robbing someone on a crutch (defenseless) is not allowed.
3. Fake or false hostages (using friends as hostages) are not permitted.
4. Roleplay with the police during a robbery; do not hit and run.
5. Use the /th command for hostage situations, not for a robbery in exchange for money.
6. You cannot steal ongoing robberies from others.
7. Maximum one hostage for 20 minutes.
8. Only one bank/jewelry store can be robbed at a time.
9. Allow a 20-minute cooldown between consecutive store, jewelry, or bank robberies.
10. No outside shooters are allowed for store robberies.
11. Do not steal ongoing jewelry store heists from other players.
12. Announce the presence of an outside shooter to the police.
13. Interfering with active robberies in which you are not involved is not allowed.
14. Do not respawn in active RP scenes. Wait until officers have searched you and instructed you to respawn.
15. You can only rob someone of up to 1 Million Clean & 1 Million Dirty to Equal 2 Million total. Drugs are fair game. You cannot rob Phones
16. Do not force a hostage to withdraw money from the bank.
17. Do not kill a compliant hostage.
18. Robbing the same person is allowed every 25 minutes.
19. You cannot take a cop hostage unless there are 7 cops in the city.
20. During robberies, you can exceed the number of cops on duty by 2 (e.g., if there are 4 cops on, you can have up to 6 people).
21. If you are to rob Jewelry you cannot run away and come back once the police clear the scene that is counted as Fail RP and Power Gaming.

Communication:

1. A microphone is required for roleplay in the city.
2. Use push-to-talk if you are in the city.
3. Avoid using terms that violate TOS.
4. No hate speech, racism, disrespecting staff, sexual RP, or harassment.
5. Do not hot mic or talk while dead.
6. Saying "kill yourself in-game" (KYS) in any form is prohibited.

Drug Locations:

1. You can tax only one drug location; choose one.
2. At least three people are required to tax at one drug location.
3. Do not exploit drug mechanics.
4. Do not turn taxing into a robbery unless the individuals refuse to leave the location after paying.
5. Avoid abusing teleportation into drug locations to avoid RP.
6. If you are at a drug location (e.g., Lean, Opium, Coke), you must perform taxing. Taxing involves requesting payment from individuals working there and giving warnings before resorting to killing.
7. For taxing, you need a group of 2-3 people controlling the zone.

OOC Guide:

The following OOC phrases and their corresponding IC interpretations can be used to express yourself out of character:

• Government officials: Refers to any staff members.
• Government laws: Refers to the server rules.
• My eyes are fuzzy: Indicates texture loss or graphical issues.
• My hearing aid stopped working: Indicates audio loss or issues.
• Voicebox: Refers to your microphone.
• Tsunami: Refers to a server restart.
• City: Refers to the server.
• I think his head popped: Suggests the player's game may have crashed.
• I'm gonna take a flight out of the city: Refers to leaving the server.
• I'm in my head: Indicates the player is focusing on real-life matters.
• Bluetooth: Refers to using Discord for communication.
• Deported: Refers to getting kicked or banned.
• Green grass: Refers to a Green Zone.
• Body cam: Refers to recording or streaming gameplay.
• Flex your (put key here) muscle: Refers to pressing a specific key (e.g., flex your C muscle means press the C key).
